Lauren Baker, PT, DPT, Cert. DN, PCES, is a Desoto County, MS native. Lauren’s academic journey began at Mississippi State University, where she earned her BS in Kinesiology with a focus on Clinical Exercise Physiology. She then pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Initially, Lauren practiced in orthopedics for 5 years before her interest in pelvic health was sparked by a personal experience as a postpartum patient with MOJO Pelvic Health. This transformative encounter aligned perfectly with her mission to empower and support women, inspiring them to live more fulfilling lives and realize their full potential.
As a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES), Lauren brings specialized expertise to her practice, supporting women through the unique challenges of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Her skills are further enhanced by her certification in Dry Needling, offering patients an additional tool for pain management and muscle function improvement.
Lauren’s diverse background in orthopedics and wellness allows her to treat a wide range of patients, both male and female, from athletes and weekend warriors to busy moms and individuals seeking to reclaim their quality of life. She finds particular fulfillment in the close relationships she builds with her patients, valuing the opportunity to listen, treat, problem-solve, and educate, all in service of helping them live fuller lives.
Outside the clinic, Lauren embodies the active and balanced lifestyle she advocates for her patients. She is passionate about fitness, nutrition, and running, and finds joy in traveling, exploring farmers markets, and soaking up sunshine with her husband and two small children. A coffee enthusiast, she enjoys perfecting her brewing techniques and unwinding with her favorite podcasts.
