We treat adults, children—all genders, all body types and all ages. Our team maps out individualized plans based on your personal diagnoses, needs and goals, and we adjust plans as you age and as your body changes.
We treat the issues that are talked about the least but often impact our daily lives the most.
Issues affecting your bowel and bladder can greatly impact your confidence and the choices you make about your lifestyle. We recognize how limiting this can be and work to find the root of the issue in order to get you back to doing what you love and enjoy.
Pain anywhere in the body is disruptive. Often pain in the pelvic region is a sign of tension or poor mechanics of the pelvic muscular system. This can often cause pain in the hip, low back, neck, down to your feet. Pain can occur with activity, with intimacy, with sitting, or for no known reason. We believe pain can be a cry for help and we would love to provide that help for you.
Intimacy, arousal, pleasure, and sex are important aspects to our overall well being. Often times, issues involving this part of our lives are brushed aside or ignored. We know the value of restoring this aspect of your life and offer support and treatment for a variety of conditions that can occur throughout your lifespan.
We are passionate about treating women through the childbearing process. This can include preparing for pregnancy, fertility care, throughout pregnancy, and especially into post part and beyond. We want you to feel supported, whole, and empowered.
Men have pelvic floors too, and the issue is not always with the prostate. Pelvic floor PT can improve bowel, bladder, and sexual function as well as address common complaints such as groin pain, tailbone pain, rectal pain, urinary frequency, etc. We often see cyclists, weight lifters, soccer players, and runners who have given up a sport that they love due to these issues, so we make it our priority to get you back in the game.
Children can often experience bowel and bladder issues like bedwetting, incontinence, and chronic constipation, to name a few. This can often be a symptom of a pelvic floor issue that we can address with muscle retraining and behavior modification for the bowel and bladder. We also treat teens with incontinence with sports or laughing and we help when periods or tampons are painful. Instead of waiting for your child to outgrow these issues, we can help so your child or teen feels confident, capable, and strong.
Exercise can often be one of the first things you stop when pelvic health issues arise. Uncertainty and questions about safe ways to exercise for those with prolapse, diastasis recti, incontinence and pelvic pain are real and it can be difficult to find consistent knowledge on how to safely return to exercise. Corrective exercise sessions are designed exactly for this purpose! They are one-on-one coaching to help strengthen and train your pelvic floor. Your sessions are customized for you and can focus on improving posture, breathing patterns, core strength, pelvic floor coordination and strength and will guide you through the steps to return to whatever fitness routine you enjoy.
